UNRULED//UNDIVIDED
A RECYCLED COLLECTION CELEBRATING INDIVIDUALITY
For this project we worked together with H&M to create concepts and designs for 2020, each of us researching on and creating a collection for one of the four division lines - ours was BOYS DIVIDED. We want to completely overthrow the idea of the current collection as we believe this is not aimed at all kinds of boys. The collection needs to be accessible for all different types of boys. And girls too, and for non-binaries aswell! Because gender is sooooooo 2018, nobody still thinks in these fabricated gender boxes in 2020. That’s why we came up with a whole new concept for the H&M division lines: UNDIVIDED.
My outfit is almost completely recycled - only the lining of the jacket, the thread, some elastic tape in the bathing suit and the pushbuttons in the jeans are not recycled. I reused t-shirts with prints, denim pants, zippers from a previous fleece project and bikini’s and bathing suits.
