The first project at Amsterdam Fashion Institute.

The garment had to be inspired by a 1650s dress found in a shipwreck near Texel. I naturally dyed the textile using cabbage, blueberries and onion peels,

I went with the idea of bodily distortion, something that was practised during this time in history through the use of bone-whale sctructures like the crinoline and corsetry.
